The Baba Ramdev Chalisa is the household-tradition Chalisa of Baba Ramdev. Baba Ramdev (14th century, Rajasthan) was a folk-saint of Tanwar Rajput lineage. The Chalisa-text is generally placed in the late 19th to early 20th century CE. Baba Ramdev's main shrine is at Ramdevra (Runicha) in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan
Ramdev Pir is honoured in the wider Hindu tradition with festivals, pilgrimage shrines, and household worship. The Chalisa makes Ramdev Pir-bhakti accessible for daily householders without requiring extensive Sanskrit liturgy.

Bathe and wear clean clothes. Sit facing East. Traditional offerings to Ramdev Pir: saffron flowers, akshat (rice), fruits, ghee diya, dhoop. Saffron flowers, white cloth, simple offerings of grain and water. Many devotees offer a peer-saffron flag (dhwaja) at the Ramdevra shrine.

Sit cross-legged with your spine straight. Bow once. Take a moment of silence. If reciting for a specific intention, offer a brief sankalp.
