The experience of doing this

Arranging a puja is real work

We're not saying one way is better than the other. Just that both take effort – and we've quietly done this for hundreds of families.

On your own

Arranging it yourself

Searching for the right pandit from afar through forwarded WhatsApp numbers and phone calls
Not knowing which vidhi suits your situation, or which ghat the rite belongs to
Muhurat picked from a generic online calendar, not aligned with the vidhi
Samagri sourced same-day – often from the wrong shop, often incomplete
Navigating queues, temple rules, and local politics alone – while elders wait
No one to call afterwards if a question comes up

With Aastha

Arranged by a small family from Ujjain

A pandit chosen for your specific vidhi and intention, from our trusted network
Every rite at the temple or ghat where it actually belongs – not where it's convenient
Shubh muhurat aligned with the vidhi and your dates, with quieter alternatives suggested
Every flower, ghee, and dhoop arranged two days in advance
A coordinator meets your family on site and stays through the closing aarti
Photos to keep, and a number you can still call after the puja is done

A note from the founder

Why Aastha exists

I've spent most of my life in Ujjain. Friends and relatives have always come to me with the same questions – which pandit for which rite, which ghat for which ritual, which morning at Mahakaleshwar is the quietest.

Somewhere along the way I realised that most people coming to Ujjain for a puja have no one to call. Aastha is that call. A small team. Deep roots in the city. One conversation, and everything arranged the way it should be.

Frequently asked questions

What families often ask us

If your question isn't here, just call or message us. We answer ourselves – in Hindi or English.

How much does a puja typically cost?
It depends on the vidhi, duration, sacred site, and how many pandits are needed. Simpler pujas start around ₹2,100 onwards, and larger multi-day rites cost more. We share the full breakdown on the call – no advance is taken until you have complete clarity. Travel and stay are separate, but we share guidance on options for every budget.
Do I need to come in person for the puja?
Ideally, yes. Most pujas carry many times the meaning when performed at the sacred site itself, with your family present. Specific shastric protocols mandate certain temples and ghats in Ujjain for different rites. If you genuinely cannot travel, we can arrange the puja on your behalf via live video. Just tell us on the call.
Will I get photos of the puja afterwards?
Yes. Our coordinators take respectful, unobtrusive photographs throughout the ritual – particularly during sankalp, the central ahuti, and the closing aarti. These are shared on WhatsApp after the puja. Where possible, we capture a short video for family members who couldn't attend.
Do I have to book on a specific festival day?
No. Festival days are the most crowded – the experience often gets lost in the rush. When you call, we'll suggest a quieter, equally auspicious muhurat that fits the vidhi and your dates. Amavasya, Purnima, Ekadashi, and Pradosh of any month are also beautiful options.
How far in advance should I book?
Seven to fifteen days ahead is ideal, especially if you need a specific muhurat or are travelling from abroad. For major occasions like Mahashivratri, Pitru Paksha, or Navratri, book three to four weeks ahead. Last-minute bookings are also handled where possible – just call us.
How are pandits vetted?
We know each pandit in our network personally – their lineage, their qualifications, their record. We work only with pandits who have been performing these rites for years, who understand shastra-aligned vidhi, and who do this work with the shradha it deserves.
How do I pay? Are international cards accepted?
We finalise the full price on the call itself – complete transparency. A small advance to confirm, the rest before the puja. Accepted: UPI, bank transfer, credit and debit cards, and international cards from US, UK, UAE, Canada, Singapore, and most major countries.

When you're ready

Not sure which puja you need?

Just tell us. We'll listen carefully, understand your situation, and guide you to the right puja, the right pandit, and the right muhurat. No pressure. No sales.
