Refund policy.
Last updated: May 2026
100% refund commitment, when we fail.
If we cannot deliver what we promised – pandit, samagri, timing, or anything else on our end – we return your full amount, including the booking advance. No forms, no arguments, the money simply comes back.
How payment works
Every Aastha booking is paid in two parts. This structure exists so we can lock in your slot and the pandit immediately, while keeping the rest of the payment close to the actual day of the puja.
Paid when you confirm the booking. Locks your slot, reserves the pandit, and starts the preparation. This portion is non-refundable if you cancel, but it carries forward as credit if you reschedule.
Paid 3 to 4 hours before the puja begins. The puja starts only once this is settled. Fully refundable if we cannot perform the puja for any reason on our end.
Why the 10% advance is non-refundable
The moment you confirm a booking, work begins on our side – the pandit's time is reserved on his calendar, your slot is blocked at the puja site, the samagri planning is set in motion, and we coordinate the small details of the day. Once that work is done, it cannot be undone.
The 10% advance covers exactly that work. So when you cancel altogether, the advance is forfeit. But if you simply need to move the date, the advance stays with us as credit and applies to your rescheduled puja – no extra payment required.
Rescheduling
- Up to 3 reschedules are allowed at no extra cost. We understand that plans change.
- Please give us at least one week's notice. Pandit ji's calendar fills up quickly, especially around auspicious dates, and a week lets us properly arrange the new muhurat.
- Less than a week's notice: we will try our best, but we may not be able to guarantee the same pandit, the same site, or the same calibre of muhurat.
- Your 10% advance carries forward each time you reschedule, within the 3-reschedule limit.
When you get a 100% refund (advance included)
Anything that goes wrong on our end is on us. The booking advance is only kept when you walk away – not when we fail to deliver. We refund the full amount, advance included, if:
- We cannot perform your booked puja at the agreed time
- The pandit we arranged becomes unavailable, and we cannot find another pandit of the same calibre
- The samagri we committed to cannot be sourced
- We need to cancel for any reason on our end
- Our service falls short of what we promised – and you tell us within seven days of the puja
When you get a partial refund
If you cancel altogether (not reschedule), we keep the 10% booking advance and return any balance you have already paid. You will receive a clear breakdown showing what was deducted.
If you have paid the 90% balance and we cannot deliver the puja, the entire balance returns – the advance too.
When refunds do not apply
- The puja was performed correctly, by the right pandit, at the right time – and the complaint is purely about a personal experience or expectation, rather than actual delivery
- You don't show up at the site on the day of the puja without prior notice (the 10% advance is forfeit; any 90% balance paid is refunded)
- You exceed the 3-reschedule limit
- Your travel, accommodation, or food costs (these were never our responsibility)
- Complaints raised more than seven days after the puja
How to request a refund
Email us or message on WhatsApp. Just tell us what happened. We respond within 48 hours and start the refund process within seven working days.
The refund returns through the same channel you paid through:
- UPI – back to the same UPI ID, in 2 to 5 working days
- Card – back to the same card, in 5 to 10 working days
- Bank transfer – to the same account, in 3 to 7 working days
- International cards – 7 to 14 working days, depending on your bank
In plain words
The 10% advance is what allows us to actually start work for you – the pandit, the slot, the planning. If we fail, the full amount comes back, advance included. If life gets in the way, your advance carries forward up to three times. If you simply change your mind after we have done all the work, we keep the 10%. That is the whole policy.
