Terms of service.

Last updated: May 2026

These terms apply to Aastha's puja arrangement services. By using the Aastha website or booking a puja with us, you agree to these terms. If anything seems unclear, just ask.

What we provide

Aastha is a small family-run business that arranges Vedic pujas and anushthan in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. We provide end-to-end coordination – pandit selection, temple and ghat arrangements, muhurat determination, samagri sourcing, and on-site coordination – so that your family only needs to arrive in Ujjain. We are not a marketplace; we arrange the pandit ourselves on your behalf, the way a family member living in Ujjain would.

Your responsibilities

Our responsibilities

Booking, payment and rescheduling

A booking is confirmed once the 10% advance is received. Without this advance, we cannot reserve your date or pandit. The remaining 90% balance is due 3 to 4 hours before the puja begins; the puja starts only after the full amount is settled.

You may reschedule up to 3 times at no extra cost. We ask for at least one week's notice so we can rearrange the pandit's calendar and the muhurat properly. With less than a week's notice, we will try our best, but we cannot always guarantee the same pandit or muhurat. The 10% booking advance is non-refundable but carries forward as credit each time you reschedule, within the 3-reschedule limit.

Full payment, refund, and rescheduling rules are detailed in our payment policy and refund policy.

Pricing

The full price is finalised on the call and confirmed in writing. This price covers our services – pandit dakshina, samagri, coordination – with no hidden charges and nothing added later.

Your travel and accommodation costs are not included. We are happy to share guidance on hotels, transport, and local logistics, but the booking is yours to make.

What we can't be responsible for

We deliver what we promise. But we cannot be held responsible for:

Intellectual property

The Aastha name, logo, website design, and the content we create are our property. You're welcome to view the site for personal use, but commercial use or republication needs our permission.

The family photographs and videos taken during your puja belong to you. We use them in any promotional material only with your explicit consent.

Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please reach out to us directly first. Most issues get resolved in a single conversation. For service-related concerns, please flag them within seven days of the puja so we have a fair chance to make it right.

If we cannot resolve it between us, you have rights under the Consumer Protection Act 2019. Any disputes will be settled in the jurisdiction of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. For significant changes, we will post a notice on the site. New terms apply from the date of publication.

One last thing

These terms are governed by Indian law. If any clause becomes unenforceable for any reason, the remaining terms still apply.

In plain words

We don't believe in scaring people with legalese. These terms exist so both sides know exactly what's promised and what isn't. Anything unclear, just ask.

Have a question?

Anything about this policy, just reach out directly. We answer ourselves.
